Campus Association, LLC (OCA) was started in 1971 to serve the needs
of Auburn University students, faculty and staff. It was recently
expanded to serve Southern Union State Community College students,
faculty and staff. Its purpose is to help it's members avoid costly
utility deposits that can total up to $400. To
become a member and avoid paying the individual deposits, you must
fill out a contract and mail it to P.O. Box 301, Auburn, AL 36831
along with a $75 check and a self-addressed stamped
envelope. Membership is good for a contract year that runs from July 1st
through the following August 5th. Each member can establish credit with the power, gas and
telephone companies with 12 consecutive on-time payments. Once the
member has established credit, OCA membership is no longer needed. By
becoming a member you agree to pay your utility bills on time and to
notify the utility companies to discontinue service if you move. If
this is not done and any bill becomes delinquent, OCA will pay it. After
we pay the bill, we will send a bill to the member for the
delinquent amount plus a $29 service charge. If the bill remains
unpaid, we will be forced to turn it over to a collection agency for
collection. (We hope that this will NEVER be necessary). |
